Your back never signed up for this job.
In every roof truss there’s a king post, the single upright that carries the load so nothing else has to strain. Your body has one too. Years at a desk switched it off, and your back has been covering ever since.
That’s why the stretches never stick, stretch the muscle that’s covering and it goes right back to covering. Do the “right” exercises with the wrong muscle and you just get better at doing it wrong.
And nothing here fixes itself. A muscle that isn’t asked to work keeps getting weaker, and the one covering for it keeps taking more.
Kingpost starts somewhere odd: not with exercises, but with teaching you to feel which muscle is actually working. Feeling first. Then movement. Then strength.
Find out which muscle is doing your back’s job.
Your back hurts because it’s doing someone else’s job. One test won’t diagnose that — but sixty seconds on the floor will tell you which muscle has been covering the shift.
If anything feels sharp while you try it, stop — and see a professional before starting any program.
Tap where you felt it. One test is not a diagnosis — it is a torch in a dark room.

Twelve weeks. Three phases. Thirty minutes, three times a week.
Wake up.
Breathing, gentle activation, and learning to move one joint at a time — hips turning while the spine stays quiet. Short sessions that build the skill everything else depends on.
Get strong.
Strength work on the newly awake muscles, in positions where the right ones have to do the lifting — so the stand-ins can finally clock off.
Make it real.
The strength moves into the movements of your actual day: bending, squatting, standing up, lifting a child off the floor — plus short desk routines for the chair hours you can't avoid.
03 — WHAT THIS IS AND ISN’T
What it is
A structured movement education program — general wellness, taught step by step, built around learning to use the right muscles, and move through the right joints, at the right time.
What it isn’t
Medical treatment, physiotherapy, or a diagnosis. If you have numbness or tingling down a leg, pain after a fall, night pain that doesn’t settle, or anything that’s worrying you — see a professional first.
The program will still be here when you’re cleared to move.
$49. Once.
No subscription, because the goal is that you finish. You buy the program, you do the program, you keep it for life.
Knees and shoulders are coming as separate modules; the back program is where it all starts.

Questions
I've already done physio. How is this different?
Most rehab hands you a sheet of exercises and hopes your form is right. Kingpost teaches you to feel which muscle is doing the work — and keeps teaching it through all twelve weeks as the movements get bigger, not just in week one.
How much time does it take?
About 30 minutes, three times a week, for twelve weeks.
Do I need equipment or a gym?
No. Floor space and ideally a mat.
I'm very unfit. / I'm quite fit. Will it suit me?
Both, honestly. The first phase is about awareness, not fitness. Fitter people simply move through the progressions faster.
What if it's not for me?
14-day no-questions refund at launch.
Knees? Shoulders? Neck?
On the roadmap. Waitlist members vote on which module comes next.
